You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining cost accounting systems, analyzing variances, and contributing to inventory valuation and cost control initiatives. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting systems, policies, and procedures. Analyze manufacturing variances (material, labor, overhead) and provide explanations and recommendations. Assist in the preparation of standard costings and review for accuracy. Perform inventory valuation and cycle count procedures. Contribute to the annual budgeting and forecasting process for manufacturing costs. Support month-end and year-end closing activities related to cost accounting. Analyze product profitability and identify cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to gather cost data and insights. Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards related to cost management. Prepare reports and present findings to management regarding cost performance. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in cost accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs). Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and cost drivers. Knowledge of standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory valuation methods. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Experience working in the Mississauga, Ontario area is preferred. Benefits
