Job Title: Cost Accountant/Financial AnalystLocation: [Etobicoke]Company: Dynamic Manufacturing CompanyPosition Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cost Accountant/Financial Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate product costing, conducting profitability analysis by customer and product line, and analyzing manufacturing variances and inventory. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently, as well as collaborate within a team environment to meet scheduled deadlines. Strong analytical skills, advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and prior cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment are essential. Experience with integrated manufacturing software is required, and familiarity with MACOLA software is a significant plus.Key Responsibilities:
Perform monthly closing and financial reporting
Develop product costing and inventory valuation
Maintain bills of material (BOM)
Prepare cost and pricing estimates for new and existing products
Conduct profitability analysis by customer and product line
Review and update standard costs annually
Reconcile physical and perpetual inventories to the general ledger (GL)
Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts
Analyze manufacturing variances
Complete other duties and projects as assigned
Maintain manufacturing and inventory control within the Macola system, including product setup
Prepare monthly income statements
Calculate commissions
Prepare various sales and financial reports
Qualifications:
Accounting designation or in final year of program (preferred)
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Cost Accounting within a manufacturing environment
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with integrated manufacturing software (MACOLA experience is a plus)
