Our client, a leading manufacturing company known for its innovation, operational excellence, and commitment to quality, is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join its finance team. This role plays a critical part in supporting cost accounting functions, inventory valuation processes, and financial analysis activities that directly impact business decision-making. The Cost Accountant will partner closely with cross-functional teams including operations, supply chain, and finance leadership to ensure accurate product costing, strengthen financial visibility, and drive continuous process improvement initiatives across the organization. Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze work orders, maintain standard costing, and ensure accurate cost of goods sold (COGS)Perform variance analysis (material, labor, overhead, PPV) and support month-end close & P&L reviewMaintain inventory accuracy, including cycle counts, obsolete inventory, and GL reconciliationLead annual standard cost roll, support project cost tracking, and provide cost estimates/pricing supportPrepare cost estimates and provide pricing support for new and existing products, helping drive strategic pricing decisionsRequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business3-5+ years of manufacturing cost accounting experienceStrong knowledge of standard costing, inventory accounting, COGS, and variance analysisExperience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.)Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, reporting)Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skillsAdditional DetailsStandard weekday schedule with occasional travel and inventory-related activitiesCompetitive benefits package offered
