The Corporate Controller position heads a three-person accounting team (Controller and two Staff Accountants) and reports to the company’s CFO & Executive Chairman.

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Permanent Corporate Controller for our restaurant division. This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional with a passion for the restaurant industry who is looking to take their career to the next level. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting and accounting operations of our restaurant portfolio. This role is critical in providing financial leadership and coordinating accounting procedures for our company.
Responsibilities
As a Corporate Controller, you will be responsible for
• Overseeing all financial and accounting operations, including weekly ACH transactions each individual franchisee based on their sales reporting, P&L’s, and financial statements.
• Supervising the preparation of monthly P&L’s for all 10 company restaurant operations
• Ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting.
• Developing and maintaining internal control policies and procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Coordinating the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and report variances.
• Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements and public reporting.
• Coordinating the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit.
• Managing and complying with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
• Work with the CFO on quarterly financial statements required for public reporting purposes
• Processes corporate level payables and corporate payroll (for approximately 20 employees)
Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Corporate Controller position will have the following qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A CPA or related qualification is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Proven experience as a Corporate Controller, supervising, financial reporting, accounting, ACH, ACH transactions, P&L’s, financial statements, and public reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
