Coordinator Social Planning
Job Description
Status: Permanent Full-Time (35 hours per week)
Salary: $130,674 - $150,275 per annum + 12% superannuation
Randwick City Council is an innovative and progressive Council committed to serving our vibrant community on the eastern beaches of Sydney. Our Community Development Team is seeking a Coordinator Social Planning.
Purpose:
The Coordinator Social Planner leads a team responsible for producing evidence-based strategies and plans that drive positive social change and improve community wellbeing. Responsible for overseeing implementation and reporting on Council’s initiatives that address systemic inequality, including the Affordable Housing Portfolio, the role also oversees Council's commitment of resources in grants and partnerships, ensuring investment is aligned to local area priorities and the community’s strategic vision.
About the role:
Lead and provide accountability in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of social planning policy and plans for Randwick City
Provide general Social Planning advice on the domains of local cultural, economic, environmental and social standards to inform Council’s broader planning processes, not exclusively limited to the Community and Culture division
Apply various tools such as population and data analysis, gap analysis, projection profiling, social forecasts, business analysis and related community engagement processes to inform a wide range of Council’s planning processes
Lead council's grants program
Coordinate Council’s engagement of Community Housing Providers
About you:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences, Town Planning or related discipline
Extensive experience developing evidence-based studies, needs assessments, data analysis as well as experience developing strategy, plans and procedural documents that address these issues
Demonstrated leadership capabilities
