Join our vibrant team as a Convenience Store Clerk, where you will be the friendly face and efficient operator of our busy retail location. Responsibilities
Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding customer service to foster a positive shopping environment
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for cash handling, credit card transactions, and receipts
Manage cashier duties including cash handling, balancing registers, and processing refunds or exchanges
Restock shelves, organize merchandise displays, and ensure products are well-presented to maximize sales opportunities
Conduct product demos or explain features to assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including aisles, counters, and checkout areas
Upsell related products or promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales volume
Skills
Multilingual or bilingual abilities to communicate effectively with diverse customer bases
Experience in retail sales, merchandising, or cashiering roles with a focus on customer service excellence
Strong communication skills for engaging customers and collaborating with team members
Basic math proficiency for handling cash transactions accurately and managing inventory counts
Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures to ensure smooth checkout processes
Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
Knowledge of phone etiquette for professional communication with customers or vendors
Organizational skills for maintaining store appearance and stock levels efficiently
Ability to perform product demos and upsell effectively to boost sales opportunities
Technical sales experience or familiarity with technology products is a plus but not required
