About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Control & Protection Technician to join our Canterbury team based in Christchurch.
This role focuses on the testing, maintenance, commissioning, and fault response of high-voltage protection systems across electrical distribution networks. You'll help ensure protection schemes operate safely, reliably, and in line with customer and network requirements.
You'll be involved in:
Testing, commissioning, and maintenance of HV protection systems
Fault finding and repair of high-voltage and associated equipment
Operating Omicron relay testing equipment (CMC356, CPC100 etc.)
Reading and interpreting protection logic diagrams and schemes
Supporting HV switching, network operations, and emergency fault response
