Job description
We are looking for a Senior Product Content Writer who can own and drive end-to-end product content across web, in-product experiences, and documentation. This role goes beyond documentation you will translate complex product capabilities into clear, user-friendly, and value-driven content that improves adoption, onboarding, and overall product experience.
You will work closely with Product Management, Product Marketing, Design, Engineering, and Customer Support teams to ensure product content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with user needs.
Key Areas of Ownership
- Product website content (feature pages, use cases, FAQs)
- In-product content (tooltips, onboarding flows, microcopy)
- Product documentation and user guides
- Release and update communication
- Content quality, accuracy, and consistency across product touchpoints
Key Responsibilities
- Write clear, concise, and engaging product content including feature descriptions, use cases, user manuals, help articles, and step-by-step guides
- Translate technical product features into customer-focused perks and outcomes
- Create UX and in-app content such as tooltips, empty states, onboarding messages, and instructional prompts in collaboration with designers
- Own and maintain product documentation, ensuring it is up to date with every release
- Collaborate with Product Managers to understand PRDs, user stories, and feature requirements
- Produce content for product launches, feature updates, release notes, and changelogs
- Partner with Product Marketing to ensure consistent messaging across product, website, and marketing channels
- Improve existing product content based on user feedback, support queries, and product usage data
- Act as a subject matter expert for product-related content and clarify product behavior for internal teams
- Ensure content meets quality, usability, and industry standards across all product touchpoints
Performance & Success Metrics
- Reduction in product-related support queries
- Improved user onboarding and feature adoption
- Content accuracy and consistency across releases
- User engagement with help and documentation content
- Timely delivery of content aligned with product release cycles
Requirements & Skills
- 5+ years of experience writing content for tech or SaaS products
- Strong technical and product writing skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand content
- Experience with UX writing and in-product content
- Hands-on experience working with cross-functional product teams
- Excellent command of English grammar, punctuation, and structure
- Familiarity with agile product development workflows
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
Tools & Platforms
- Documentation tools (Notion, Confluence or similar)
- CMS platforms
- Product collaboration tools (Jira or equivalent)
- Basic understanding of analytics and feedback tools
