Job Description
Open Secret is a platform with a vision to make every Indian family snack better. Powered by a strong operating team of strategists and marketers from Harvard Business School, IIM, and IIT with 40+ years of collective FMCG experience and backed by the strongest set of mentors and funded by prominent investors: Ananta Capital, Sixth Sense, Matrix, Vijay Shekhar Sharma (Founder, Paytm), Kunal Bahl (Co-Founder, Snapdeal), Rohit Bansal (Co-Founder, Snapdeal) and Vivek Gambhir (Director and former CEO, Godrej Consumer Products)
The goal is to become the most preferred snacking platform for families by un-junking their favourite snacks. Open Secret is currently available through their website at https://opensecret.in, multiple ecommerce platforms, and across offline stores Pan India where they sell their entire range of un-junked snacks along with other partner brands including; Nutty Cookies, Nutty Chips, Flavoured Nuts, Nutty Shake Mixes, Chocolates, Nutty Spreads etc.
About the CEO and Co-Founder:
Ahana Gautam is an experienced operator with a passion to build and grow the biggest consumer brands in India. She has a B.Tech from IIT Bombay and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She started her career at P&G where she worked across multiple functions - supply chain, finance and marketing. Ahana grew her passion for food brands at General Mills in the US where she launched natural and organic products.
Job Description:
At Open Secret, we believe remarkable talent, enthusiasm, and creative thinking add up to great work. We’re looking for a creative thinker with excellent writing and research skills to help us elevate that work as our full-time, in-house copywriter. As a member of the creative team, our copywriter will write and edit copy for a variety of projects, working closely with all the teams to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop messaging. The most successful copywriter will be a quick learner with a versatile writing style.
Responsibilities:
1. In sync with trend aware content (social media trend and industry trend)
2. Strong hold on copywriting
3. Experience in developing content on their own - from conceptualizing to production
4. Will work centrally across functions with various teams in building strong brand identity across channels viz a viz - social media, website, performance marketing etc.
5. Interpret creative briefs to develop and produce creative concepts.
6. Research and understand the needs and target audiences, through online searches & reviews of existing research.
7. Write original copy and edit content for a range of corporate marketing and communications materials.
8. Collaborate with teams and creative staff from concept development to delivery of the final product.
+. Present copy concepts and final deliverables to the internal team.
10. Revise copy based on internal feedback/direction
11. Edit and proof work to ensure high editorial standards are met across all content outputs.
