Content Writer and Editor
Job Description
You will be responsible for producing high-quality, engaging, and accurate content that meets the needs and objectives of the target audience.
Additionally, you will also be involved in editing and proofreading content to ensure its clarity, coherence, and adherence to style guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
Generate creative ideas and concepts for content pieces.
Write original, compelling, and well-structured content that aligns with the target audience and objectives.
Craft engaging headlines, subheadings, and introductory paragraphs to captivate readers.
Use SEO techniques and keywords strategically to optimize content for search engines.
Editing and Proofreading:
Review and revise content to improve clarity, coherence, grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
Ensure content aligns with brand voice, style guidelines, and tone.
Verify facts, statistics, and references to ensure accuracy and credibility.
Identify and correct inconsistencies, errors, or areas that require further development.
Collaborate with writers to provide constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
Content Strategy and Planning:
Contribute to content planning and strategy sessions.
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in content creation and editing.
Conduct competitor analysis to identify content gaps and opportunities.
Collaborate with the marketing team to align content with overall marketing objectives.
Assist in developing content calendars and schedules.
Content Optimization:
Conduct keyword research and implement SEO strategies to enhance content visibility.
Optimize content for readability, user experience, and engagement.
Monitor and analyze content performance using analytics tools.
Make data-driven decisions to improve content based on audience insights.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a content writer and editor, preferably in a professional setting.
• Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Strong command of grammar, punctuation, and style guidelines.
• Familiarity with SEO principles and best practices.
• Ability to adapt writing style and tone for different audiences and platforms.
• Excellent research skills and ability to comprehend complex topics.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Time management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in content management systems, such as WordPress or Drupal, is a plus.
• Familiarity with social media platforms and their content requirements is beneficial.
Salary:
₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
