Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY: The primary function of this position is creating content for the marketing department to be used in internal and external communications. The Content Creator Specialist will be primarily responsible for the content creation for social media, blogs and emails; assist with a broad range of external and internal communications activities as needed, including marketing and branding initiatives; editorial content and proofreading web pages, social media outlets, and other media channels as needed; perform general administrative duties, including creating presentations, providing production support to the department. Assist with information gathering and fact-checking for production of college publications, including, bulletins, catalogs, and other printed material. Assist with copy, art and design.
EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: At least two years hands on relevant experience in social media content creation required. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite; Adobe Creative Suite; Photoshop, Illustrator, XD (or Figma) and InDesign. Experience writing and proofreading in a profession business environment. Must be a highly organized, flexible team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Strong conceptual skills with ability to write clear, concise, and grammatically correct copy; deep understanding and knowledge of all social media platforms, including Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, as well as other developing platforms with a strong handle on social media strategy and the mechanics of posting, scheduling, and reporting. Ability to develop and maintain a clear and consistent brand voice and to be multi-dimensional and create content that considers every aesthetic detail of a social post, from images to links to formatting of copy. Must possess a foundational knowledge of videography and photography skills for social media including shooting and editing. Fundamental camera and gear knowledge is a major plus. Must have valid driver's license.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None assigned.
TRAVEL: Occasional local travel may be required including the Quincy, Plymouth and Boson locations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Produce and optimize content on a daily basis to support and promote the college, and attract site visitors through social media channels.
Create an active and engaging social media presence and calendar that aligns to priorities of the college.
Monitor social media activity and engage with our audience.
Cover sporting events, graduation ceremonies, open houses, special events, and other college functions in order to create timely and relevant social posts.
Produce compelling long-form and short-form content while maintaining brand messaging, persuasiveness, and readability
Assist with website updates and site management on a WordPress CMS, a plus.
Collaborate with colleagues on all marketing projects and create relevant social campaign content and deliverables.
Explore new methods and technologies to engage and reach target audiences in supporting social channels.
