About the Role
Schbang is looking for an experienced Content Authoring Lead to head onsite content operations for a large-scale enterprise platform built on Adobe Experience Manager (AEM). This is a senior, client-facing role that combines deep hands-on AEM expertise with team leadership, governance, and delivery ownership.
As a Content Authoring Lead, you will be responsible for defining content authoring standards, managing day-to-day delivery, mentoring content authors, and acting as the primary bridge between business stakeholders, QA, and technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and oversee end-to-end content authoring operations in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
• Define and enforce content authoring standards, best practices, and governance models
• Act as the primary onsite point of contact for client stakeholders on content-related matters
• Translate business requirements into clear content authoring tasks and workflows
• Design and manage structured content models in collaboration with development and UX teams
• Handle complex AEM authoring scenarios including:
• Content Fragments and Experience Fragments
• Multi-site and multi-language content
• Advanced workflows and approvals
• Review and approve content authored by intermediate and junior team members
• Ensure content quality, accuracy, accessibility, SEO compliance, and brand consistency
• Plan and manage content releases, migrations, and large-scale updates
• Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks in content delivery and proactively resolve them
• Support QA teams during validation and defect resolution
• Mentor, guide, and upskill the content authoring team
• Maintain documentation related to content processes and guidelines
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 7+ years of experience in AEM Content Authoring / CMS Operations
• Deep hands-on expertise with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM – Sites & DAM)
• Strong understanding of:
• AEM architecture (Author vs Publish environments)
• Templates, components, workflows, and permissions
• Structured and reusable content strategies
• Proficiency in working with Content Fragments, Experience Fragments, and metadata models
• Strong working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web publishing best practices
• Excellent understanding of SEO, accessibility (WCAG), and performance considerations
• Proven experience in leading onsite teams and managing client expectations
