Job Description
Opportunities are available for experienced carpenters, mid-level carpenters, and entry-level candidates who are eager to learn the trade
Basic knowledge of construction tools, materials, and job-site safety
Ability to accurately measure and perform basic construction math
Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
Ability to work on ladders and remain active throughout the workday
Dependable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
Strong attention to detail and respect for high-end finished work
Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Entry-Level Carpenter: Some construction experience or a strong interest in learning the trade
Carpenter: Ability to complete common carpentry tasks with limited supervision
Lead Carpenter: Strong residential carpentry experience with the ability to run work, solve problems, and guide other team members

Responsibilities
Perform minor framing, exterior trim, interior trim, cabinetry, and finish carpentry
Install doors, windows, moldings, hardware, and architectural details
Read and follow plans, sketches, and project specifications
Assist with renovations, additions, and new home construction
Protect finished surfaces and maintain clean, organized work areas
Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members
Identify and communicate job-site issues before they affect quality or schedule
Follow company safety procedures and maintain tools and equipment
Represent the company professionally while working in clients’ homes and neighborhoods
Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime or weekend work depending on project needs

Merrick Construction is seeking carpenters of all experience levels to join our team. We specialize in high-end custom homes, renovations, and additions throughout Monmouth County.
We are looking for dependable, skilled, and motivated individuals who take pride in their work and want to be part of a professional construction team. Opportunities are available for experienced carpenters, mid-level carpenters, and entry-level candidates who are eager to learn the trade.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities will vary based on experience and may include:
• Perform minor framing, exterior trim, interior trim, cabinetry, and finish carpentry
