Job Overview
We are a small commercial construction company servicing the KW region with clients ranging from The Region of Waterloo to The University of Waterloo. We are seeking a skilled and experienced carpenter to join our team and oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry skills, excellent leadership skills, and a keen eye for quality control. As a Construction Carpenter/Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all on-site activities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, working with construction crews, ensuring quality control.
Responsibilities
Supervise and manage construction teams to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and building codes.
Complete various construction tasks to maintain progression of projects.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide construction activities.
Train and mentor team members in best practices for construction techniques and safety protocols.
Address any issues or conflicts that arise on-site promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Carpenter/ Site Supervisor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of quality control processes, carpentry skills, construction project sequence.
Excellent blueprint reading skills with the ability to interpret schematics accurately.
