Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Computer Science Assistant Professor role based in Jalandhar. The Assistant Professor will design and deliver engaging computer science lectures, labs, and tutorials aligned with current academic and industry standards. Daily responsibilities include preparing course materials, developing assessments, guiding students through projects, and providing academic advising and mentoring. The role involves contributing to curriculum enhancement, collaborating with colleagues to integrate digital learning tools, and supporting the creation of high-quality e-learning content. The Assistant Professor is also expected to participate in departmental activities, maintain up-to-date knowledge in relevant computer science domains, and promote an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Computer Science, with the ability to teach core concepts and emerging technologies.
• Experience in Curriculum Development, including designing syllabi, assessments, and learning resources for diverse learners.
• Knowledge of Data Science, with skills in data analysis, modeling, and relevant tools or frameworks.
• Understanding of Cybersecurity principles and practices, with the ability to incorporate security topics into teaching.
• Proficiency in Programming, including at least one modern programming language and practical coding experience.
• Relevant postgraduate degree (e.g., M.Tech, M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field); prior teaching or academic experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills, with a commitment to inclusive, learner-centered teaching.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop digital learning content and technology-based instructional solutions.
• Interest in educational technology, e-learning platforms, and innovative teaching methodologies.
