Job summary
The Computer Operator supports the store"s overall operations. The role includes data entry, computer maintenance and troubleshooting on Point of Sale and inventory systems.

Responsibilities:
Enter and maintain data in computer operating systems and run necessary reports.
Perform back-ups and upgrade on front-end and back-end systems.
Adjust data/inventory/pricing information on all systems.
Activate/deactivate and ensure promotional deals are on schedule.
Print signs, label and merchandising lists, where applicable.
Ensure that all computer equipment and cash registers are in proper working order and arrange for maintenance, repairs and system recovery when required.
Handle assigned incoming/outgoing reports and messages for the Dealer and/or Store Management.
Communicate relevant information from Canadian Tire Corporation"s portal to respective Store Management and staff.
Support floor staff as needed.
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.
Requirements / Skills
Knowledge of computer operating systems
Results-oriented and solid organizational skills
Effective written and oral communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to troubleshoot and find solutions to problems, adapt and cope with challenging situations and make decisions
Ability to sit for extended periods of time
Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, week-ends and holidays)
