Role Description The Computer Hardware Specialist role at Innoknowvex is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware components, including desktops, laptops, peripherals, and network-connected devices. The specialist will diagnose and resolve hardware issues, perform routine preventive maintenance, and support system upgrades to ensure high availability and performance of all equipment. Daily responsibilities include responding to technical support requests, troubleshooting hardware failures, coordinating repairs or replacements, and documenting work performed. The role also requires close collaboration with IT and operations teams to ensure hardware resources meet the evolving needs of learners, staff, and organizational projects.
Qualifications
• Strong knowledge of computer hardware and hardware components, including assembly, configuration, and compatibility.
• Practical experience in computer repair and maintenance, including diagnostics, part replacement, and system optimization.
• Background in technical support for end users, with the ability to explain hardware issues and solutions clearly and professionally.
• Proven troubleshooting skills for hardware-related problems, including identifying root causes and implementing effective fixes.
• Familiarity with operating systems and basic networking concepts to support hardware integration and connectivity.
• Ability to manage inventory of hardware assets and maintain accurate records of equipment, warranties, and service history.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple support requests in a fast-paced environment.
• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, hardware-focused credentials) are an advantage.
