Job Description
NXT GIG is seeking a seasoned APRA & ASIC Compliance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of financial regulations, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
• Monitoring and assessing compliance with APRA and ASIC regulations and reporting requirements.
• Conducting compliance audits and reviews to identify potential areas of risk within the organization.
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining internal compliance policies and procedures.
• Providing compliance training and support to employees regarding regulatory requirements.
• Preparing regular compliance reports for senior management and relevant stakeholders.
• Collaborating with legal and risk management teams to ensure comprehensive compliance practices.
• Staying updated on changes in regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A Bachelor's degree in Law, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a compliance officer or in a similar role focusing on APRA and ASIC regulations.
• Strong knowledge of financial services regulations and compliance standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and inform stakeholders effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
• Relevant certifications in compliance, risk management, or a related field are a plus.
