Job Description
A bit about your role
As the Compliance Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the effective implementation and ongoing improvement of the site’s Quality Management System. You’ll help ensure compliance with regulatory, customer, and internal requirements, with a focus on document control, audit support, compliance coordination, and maintaining the integrity of quality systems that underpin food safety and operational performance.
You will report directly to the Quality systems & Compliance Lead and work closely alongside site Quality teams, Operations, Engineering, and wider Yili Oceania stakeholders. Acting as a central point for quality systems and compliance activities, you will support audits, manage documentation, track corrective actions, and help embed a strong culture of quality and continuous improvement across the site.
A bit about you
You are someone with several years’ experience working in quality, compliance, or a technical support role within food, dairy, or FMCG environments. You bring a proven ability to manage documentation and quality systems with a high level of accuracy, and you’re confident working with food safety principles and regulatory requirements in a practical, hands-on way.
You are organised, detail-focused, and comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. With a collaborative approach and strong communication skills, you enjoy working alongside operational teams, offering practical support and building positive relationships while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Westland Milk Products, based in Hokitika on the beautiful West Coast of the South Island, is a well-known end-to-end dairy manufacturer producing a wide range of high-quality dairy ingredients and nutritional products for global export markets. The site plays a critical role in delivering trusted products, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and operational excellence.
Owned by the Global Top 5 dairy company Yili Group, Westland Milk Products and its related companies in New Zealand, Oceania Dairy (Glenavy), Pure Nutrition (Rolleston), Canary Foods (Hamilton) and EasiYo (Auckland) form the Yili Oceania group. The combined business produces over 170,000mt of finished goods which are then exported to over 40 countries, driving annual revenue well in excess of $1.3B – and growing.
