About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Community Mental Health Social Worker to join our General Adult Team at the community site in Northland. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people and their whanau.
Key Responsibilities
To provide high-quality clinical practice and expertise to effectively meet the needs of tangata whaiora and whanau within the service.
To work collaboratively with a passionate, multi-disciplinary team who place great value on putting people first.
To have the standard of knowledge and experience necessary to work with people who have coexisting mental health and substance use problems.
Requirements
A Registered Social Worker with a current practicing certificate.
Experience in acute and community mental health practice.
Knowledge and/or experience working with people who have coexisting mental health and substance use problems.
A current full driver's licence.
Competency with te ao Maori, tikanga, and te reo Maori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth.
Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Matauranga Maori and Kaupapa Maori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
