We are seeking a skilled Pipefitter to join our dynamic team ASAP! The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping systems in mainly the chemical sector. Some travel out of town/province will be required. The Pipefitter will work with a variety of materials and tools to ensure that systems are functioning efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of piping systems.
Fabricate, assemble, and install piping systems using hand tools and power tools.
Weld pipes and fittings as necessary to ensure secure connections.
Maintain existing piping systems by performing routine inspections and repairs.
Troubleshoot issues within piping systems and recommend appropriate solutions.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards during all work activities.
Collaborate with HVAC technicians to install and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems as needed.
Requirements

Proven experience as a Pipefitter or in a similar role within the construction or manufacturing industry.
Proficiency in welding techniques and the ability to read schematics accurately.
Strong knowledge of plumbing principles and HVAC systems is preferred.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment relevant to pipefitting tasks.
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations related to projects.
Computer proficiency
Supervisor experience
