The Role
The Commercial function plays a leading role in ensuring we unlock our full potential in an ever changing world, capture the value we create and are correctly rewarded for this by our clients.
The Cost Controller / Estimator will support the wider commercial and proposal’s teams with providing full cost breakdowns of the service offerings across the Consulting division. They will maximise commercial performance while managing business / project risks (pre and post contract), ensuring compliance with relevant commercial / contracting policies.
Due to the nature of work that we do within Consulting, the types of services estimated on are extremely varied and as such will provide the successful estimator with an opportunity to develop their skills further, working on different and innovative pricing structures. This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator who is experienced in providing cost break down and estimations on services who would like to gain more experience across a diverse sector and have a direct impact on the growth strategy of the organisation.

The key objectives for this role are:
Promote and demonstrate safety leadership behaviours
Always act ethically and with the utmost integrity
Champion and promote the application of the Financial Management Framework guidelines
Champion and follow the relevant DOA and commercial / contracting policies
Ensure consistency of estimating approach across APAC, EMEA and Americas.
Leads the provision of:
Support to the proposals team in terms of calculating and providing personnel rates for the pricing sections of tender documents, reviewing commercial proposals (price tables) prior to submission for internal approval, and preparing pricing and the associated qualifications,
Preparation of annual and quarterly rate cards for the region / business
Preparation of estimates as required for bespoke pricing
Quarterly (or as otherwise agreed) updates of all cost elements of rate cards

Expected:
Previous experience within a finance, commercial estimating or cost control position
Awareness of relevant corporate and project procedures for cost control and commercial estimating
Proven experience in estimating and costing for a global organisation
Excellent communication skills, written, oral and presentation
Ability to work as part of a team
Ability to prioritise key tasks and solve problems for the team
Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
Tertiary education or degree in Finance, Accounting or similar
