Our company is seeking a motivated, positive personality, responsible, and good communicator to fulfill a general construction laborer/handy man. We have multiple projects throughout Los Angeles, Orange County, and Inland Empire.
- Responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at a construction site
- Service Calls at various job sites throughout the day
- Loading and unloading materials
- Cleaning and preparing construction sites
- Follow instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans
- Assist tradespeople in their duties including but not limited to cement, drywall, carpentry, and electrical with all general laborer tasks and needs
- Perform various physical duties
- Maintain safety standards
- Perform tasks involving physical labor at building and heavy construction projects, excavations, and demolition sites
- Operate hand and power tools of various types
- Control traffic passing near, in, and around work zones
- Load, unload, and identify building materials, tools, and machineries
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned
Laborer Qualifications/Skills
- Need to have basic tools
- Need work truck/van to get to and from work
- Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines
- Attentive to detail and alert at all times to ensure safety
- Able to receive and follow instructions and communicate with co-workers
- Ability to learn new skills and attention to detail
- Lift certification (scissor lift and fork lift)
- Lift and or pull up to 75 lbs, climb ladders, work off ladder, man lifts and other equipment
- Ability to maintain a standing position for extended period of time, squat, bend, or kneel while wearing tool belt
- Adhere to OSHA and ECM safety practices and procedures
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements
- High school diploma
- Ability to safely operate various vehicles and equipment
- Experience is preferred
- Construction: 3 year (Preferred)
- OSHA 10
- OSHA 30
- Adhere to OSHA and ECM Safety Practices and Procedures
