Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing CNC machine programs to ensure precise and efficient production of high-quality components. The CNC Programmer will collaborate closely with engineering and production teams to meet project specifications and improve manufacturing processes.
Duties
Develop and write CNC programs based on engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements.
Test and simulate CNC programs to verify accuracy before implementation on the production floor.
Set up CNC machines, including loading tools, fixtures, and raw materials, ensuring proper calibration.
Monitor machine operations during production runs to identify and resolve issues promptly.
Optimize existing CNC programs for efficiency, quality, and safety improvements.
Maintain detailed documentation of programs, modifications, and operational procedures.
Collaborate with engineers and production staff to troubleshoot machining problems and implement solutions.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies during all programming activities.
Requirements
Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software such as Mastercam, SolidWorks, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
Ability to read technical drawings and interpret engineering specifications accurately.
Knowledge of G-code programming language and CNC machine operation.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
Prior experience with multi-axis machining is a plus.
Formal education in manufacturing technology, machining, or related field is preferred but not mandatory.
