Duties
Develop and write CNC programs based on engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate machining of parts.
Analyze project requirements and select appropriate tools, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies to maximize efficiency and quality.
Test and validate CNC programs through simulations before implementation on the shop floor, making adjustments as needed.
Collaborate with machinists and engineers to troubleshoot programming issues, resolve discrepancies, and improve machining processes.
Maintain detailed documentation of CNC programs, modifications, and operational procedures for quality control and future reference.
Monitor machine performance during production runs, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
Continuously seek opportunities to optimize programming techniques, reduce cycle times, and improve overall productivity.
Requirements
Proven experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role within a manufacturing or machining environment.
Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code.
Proficiency with CAD/CAM software to create and modify machining programs; experience with popular platforms is preferred.
Ability to interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications accurately.
Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail to identify issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
Familiarity with machine tools, tooling setups, and maintenance procedures.
Effective communication skills to collaborate across teams and document technical information clearly.
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
