CNC Machinist – WS Steel

Position: CNC Machinist (Mills & Turning Centers)
Shift: Evening (5:00 pm – 3:30 am, Mon–Thurs)
Location: WS Steel – Tier 1 OEM fabricator, ~150 employees

High-volume components and large-scale fabrication across multiple industries. Fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Role

Program, set up, operate, and tear down CNC mills and lathes (turning centers). Read blueprints, hold tight tolerances, perform quality checks, maintain equipment.

Core Duties

CNC programming (G-code and/or CAD/CAM – Gibbs or similar)
Machine setup and teardown per job requirements
Blueprint reading and interpretation
Precision measurement and quality verification
Routine operator maintenance and 6S compliance
Requirements

Must Have

Previous experience in a CNC machining role (mills/lathes)
CNC programming ability (G-code, CAD/CAM)
Blueprint reading proficiency
Precision measurement skills
Nice to Have

Red Seal certification
