Job Description
Key Accountabilities
Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to gather systems requirements and contribute to technology goals, and to identify and resolve business systems issues.
Conduct research on technology for input into business cases and recommendations.
Assist in implementing cloud strategies and infrastructure.
Liaise with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to obtain products and services.
Contribute to flexible, cost effective and appropriately future-proofed solutions.
Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, processes, and service records.
Provides technical expertise to enable the correct application of operational procedures. Uses network management tools to determine network load and performance statistics.
Identifies operational problems and contributes to their resolution, checking that they are managed in accordance with agreed standards and procedures.
Security by design.
The role will act as a 3rd level escalation for:
Incidents & Requests: Receives and handles requests for support following agreed ITIL procedures.
Problems: Ensures that appropriate action is taken to anticipate, investigate and resolve problems. Coordinates the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures and ensure problems are correctly documented.
Contributes to the planning and implementation of maintenance and installation work.
Adhere to and contribute to backup standards for cloud technologies.
Ensure monitoring requirements are factored into all technology solutions.
Desired Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will have:
Experience in implementation and support of virtualised environments using VMware (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter).
Experience in adoption of O365, Exchange Online, Azure AD.
Experience with cloud implementation across Azure and AWS.
Experience with automated deployment, configuration and scripting tools.
Solid experience working with Windows Server, Intune, Active Directory and Group Policies, with working knowledge of Linux server administration (e.g. RHEL or CentOS)
Solid experience configuring and maintaining enterprise server and network hardware.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical and resolution skills.
Excellent ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solution.
Demonstrated experience working within an ITIL environment.
IT Capabilities: Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint and video/teleconferencing platforms.
