Job Description - IT Support
Job Summary:
The Cloud Administrator is responsible for the management of cloud resources, configuring & deployment of applications, monitoring of performance, and troubleshooting of issues. The Cloud Administrator will work closely with other IT teams to ensure the smooth operation of the company's cloud-based applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and administer computer systems and networks, including servers, cloud-based infrastructure, and biometric systems
• Manage cloud services, including deployment, scaling, and monitoring
• Monitor performance and troubleshoot Azure cloud-based systems, including Virtual Machines, storage, and networking
• Configure and manage biometric systems, including fingerprint scanners and facial recognition technology
• Implement and maintain security protocols to protect the organization's information and assets
• Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
• Respond to and resolve technical support requests from staff
• Research and recommend new technologies to improve the organization's infrastructure
• Collaborate with other teams to ensure smooth operation of the organization's systems
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in system administration, with a focus on Azure cloud and biometric systems
• Strong understanding of cloud computing technologies and architecture
• Experience with biometric system administration, including fingerprint scanners and facial recognition technology
• Strong understanding of networking and security concepts
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
• Proficient with configuring Windows Servers and MS SQL.
• Exposure in supporting application servers and application deployment
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with other teams
• Knowledge of Active Directory
• Exposure in SharePoint and Office 365 tools is a plus.
• Azure certification is a plus
• Exposure in Linux operating systems is a plus
