Breach Candy Hospital Trust in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is looking for a skilled and compassionate Clinical Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting patients’ health by compounding and dispensing prescribed medications, monitoring therapy effectiveness, and providing guidance on safe medication use. The Clinical Pharmacist at Breach Candy Hospital Trust will also participate in wellness screenings, immunizations, and other preventive health services, contributing to our mission of delivering top-tier healthcare to our community.
ResponsibilitiesAccurately compound and dispense medications as prescribed by physicians, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety.
• Monitor patients’ drug therapies, offering guidance on potential side effects, and advising on interventions as needed.
• Educate patients on when and how to take their prescribed medications to maximize treatment effectiveness.
• Conduct health screenings, such as blood pressure checks, blood sugar measurements, and immunizations to support preventative care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed customer records in line with Breach Candy Hospital Trust’s standards.
• Ensure a safe and hygienic pharmacy environment, adhering to all healthcare safety protocols.
• Complete daily pharmacy operational tasks, including verifying prescription orders, updating records for controlled substances, and managing pharmacy inventory by removing expired or damaged medications.
• Follow all applicable legal and regulatory guidelines for pharmaceutical practice, maintaining compliance with state and federal standards.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals at Breach Candy Hospital Trust to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Perform administrative support tasks as needed to ensure smooth pharmacy operations.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharmacology from an accredited institution.
• Proven experience as a pharmacist; new graduates are encouraged to apply if licensed.Valid license to practice as a pharmacist in Maharashtra.
• Strong knowledge of dosage requirements, medication administration, chemical compounds, and leading pharmaceutical brands.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in every aspect of patient care.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
