Duties
Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly
Greet customers warmly, providing excellent customer service and answering product questions with enthusiasm
Conduct product demos and upselling to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including cash, credit, and mobile payments
Assist with merchandising and stocking shelves to keep the store inviting and well-organized
Maintain phone etiquette when interacting with customers over the phone or via online inquiries
Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and inventory counts
Skills
Proven experience with POS systems and cashiering duties in a retail or grocery store setting
Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities for diverse customer interactions
Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities in a retail environment
Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for cash handling and retail math calculations
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude
Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and product placement strategies
Experience in grocery store operations or retail sales is highly desirable
Familiarity with upselling techniques and product demos to boost sales performance
Professional phone etiquette for effective communication with customers and team members
