About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to contribute to the efficient and effective operation of our school by maintaining a clean and safe environment for all.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene of internal areas, including windows, furniture, fixtures, toilets, sick bays, and floor surfaces.
Cleaning and maintaining external areas, including paved surfaces, drains, gutters, graffiti removal, and litter control.
Operating, cleaning, and maintaining cleaning equipment, including hosing, sweeping, vacuuming, buffing, stripping, and polishing floors.
Ensuring site security by locking/unlocking buildings and activating/disarming security systems.
Liaising with school leadership regarding supplies, reporting safety/security issues, and directing visitors to appropriate personnel.
This role would suit someone with a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
About You
The following traits would be beneficial:
Previous cleaning experience, particularly in a school or similar environment.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Ability to follow health and safety guidelines, including the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Reliability, punctuality, and a proactive approach to tasks.
