The Role:
We are seeking experienced and committed Class 2 HGV Drivers to join our expanding team. This role involves daily tramping, Monday to Friday, with regular single to two-drop deliveries. You’ll be out on the road during the working week and return home for weekends. Candidates must be fully comfortable with this schedule.
You’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods while ensuring full compliance with road transport laws and company standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely drive company vehicles and follow all road traffic and vehicle legislation.
Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure all defects are reported promptly.
Maintain accurate tachograph records and working time logs.
Ensure all loads are secure, properly documented, and safe for transport.
Report incidents or near misses promptly and cooperate fully in any investigations.
Communicate effectively with the Transport Manager regarding any operational issues.
Support warehouse staff and assist with cleaning duties when required.
Follow all company policies, health & safety guidelines, and attend training as needed.
Requirements:
Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
CPC Card (Driver Qualification Card)
Minimum of 1 years’ HGV driving experience
Maximum of 3 penalty points on licence
Multi-drop delivery experience preferred
Strong customer service and communication skills
A responsible, safety-first mindset
Additional Information:
6-month probationary period
Overtime paid at £16/hour after 12 hours per day
