Civil Construction Leading Hand/Concreter

Portal Contractors is a Melbourne earthworks and civil contractor working across residential and commercial sites. We're looking for a concrete finisher / general labourer to join our crew. Finishing pours one day, giving the dig a hand the next — bit of everything.

What you'll do

Screed, trowel and finish slabs, footings and footpaths
Set up for pours — formwork support, reo placement, edge prep
Pour, vibrate and pull concrete
General labouring — site setup, materials, cleanups, demo support
Spot machines and help operators on the dig
Pre-starts, toolbox talks, keep the site tidy
What you'll need

White Card
CFMEU membership
Ongoing right to work in Australia
A few years on construction sites doing concrete and/or general labouring
Driver's licence and a way to get to site
Nice to have

Formwork, steel-fix, leading hand experience
First Aid, Working at Heights, Confined Space, Spotters ticket
What we offer

EBA pay rates + allowances, RDOs, super on top
Full-time, steady work, no FIFO
Short chain of command
Room to step up to leading hand down the track
Pay: $56,017.73 – $122,377.29 per year
