Various math classes 7th-12th grade, available for full or part-time work
A Calumet Christian School teacher is committed to fulfilling the mission and vision of the school. The role includes all aspects of planning, organizing, and implementing an appropriate instructional program rooted in Biblical truth
Qualifications:
A strong belief in the Bible as historical truth and as God's Word.
Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and committed to Christ-centered education.
Education: Bachelor’s degree (required for full-time employment)
Teaching license/ certification eligible (required for full-time employment)
Some teaching experience (preferred)
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Actively engage as a member of the school’s spiritual community
Demonstrate knowledge of subject area(s) taught
Demonstrate a knowledge of students as learners and maintain appropriate relationships with students, including when addressing their social-emotional health.
Prepare appropriate lesson plans that meet state and Biblical integration standards.
Regularly review/update department and course curriculum maps to assure the fulfillment of proper instructional priorities and pacing
Utilize appropriate assessment techniques to inform and evaluate student learning and progress
Implement effective classroom management and discipline procedures to provide a safe, healthy, and productive learning environment conducive to learning
Update all student and school records accurately and completely as required
Model effective teacher/parental partnering through timely and proactive communication
Implement Christ-centered teaching through pedagogical practices that develop students in alignment with Calumet Christian Schools’ Discipleship Practices
Perform any other duties that may be assigned by the direct supervisor.
