A Local Authority in South East England
Child in Need Reviewing Officer
Up to £47 per hour
We are looking for a Child in Need Reviewing Officer who is curious and has children and young people at the very heart of all they do. You will have the ability to develop strong professional relationships that support quality practice for our children and young people and be confident to challenge when this is not the best it can be.
You will need to have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Social Worker and experience at Team Manager level or equivalent with a good understanding of child in need practice.
The role now forms part of the wider Children’s Social Work Service and the postholder will be responsible for driving good practice, providing guidance, coaching and support to Social Workers. They will chair complex multi-agency child in need and step-down meetings, ensuring progression of child in need work against agreed timescales, build and develop strong partnership working and networks, quality assuring the effectiveness and impact of interventions on children and young people with a child in need plan. The post holder will be proficient at using excel spreadsheets, keeping good data and have good analytical and report writing skills.
Minimum compliance requirements:
• Social Work Qualification
• Registration with Social Work England
• DBS Check within 12 months or a DBS registered to the Update Service
