Summary of Position
Join our growing team of clinicians at JPA’s New Light outpatient therapy clinic in the Lincoln Park
neighborhood of Chicago. Offering both in-person and telehealth services, New Light is looking for
enthusiastic and creative IL-state-licensed clinicians who are interested in joining a therapy
practice where they will be provided reflective clinical supervision, access to diverse and
informative training opportunities, as well as welcoming and comfortable office space in which to
see clients. JPA offers a competitive fee split to clinicians and our in-house billing department will
submit and track claims so you can focus on the clinical work!
New Light is seeking clinicians with a Masters in Counseling or related field, but candidates need
not be licensed as the New Light Director will be providing weekly supervision to all therapists. We
are looking for enthusiastic and creative individuals who are interested in joining a therapy
practice where they will be provided reflective clinical supervision, access to diverse and
informative training opportunities, as well as welcoming and comfortable office space in which to
see clients. JPA offers a competitive fee split to clinicians and our in-house billing department will
submit and track claims so you can focus on the clinical work!

program of the non-profit organization Juvenile Protective Association (JPA). The mission of JPA is
to improve the social and emotional well-being and functioning of vulnerable children, adults, and

With a variety of clinical approaches (psychodynamic talk therapy, play therapy, cognitive

Requirements
• Master's Degree required
• Hold malpractice insurance
• A high-level of knowledge and skill in therapy and clinical assessment with children,
adolescents, adults, couples, and families
• Able to work with a wide range of mental health issues and presenting concerns
• Knowledge and experience providing relationship-based and Psychodynamic- oriented
therapies
• Be willing to build their caseload to a minimum of 5 clients
• Able to work cooperatively within a clinical team
• Ability to work autonomously and independently
• Motivated to help New Light grow our client base
• Excellent organization and time management skills
Experience:
• Social Work, Counseling or Therapy: 2 years (Preferred)
• Child & adolescent therapy: 2 years (Preferred)
• Family and/or couple's therapy: 2 years (Preferred)
Job Type: Part-time 1099 contract. Mondays-Fridays with the option of weekends. New Light is
currently using a hybrid in-office and remote work schedule offering both in-person and tele-
therapy options for our clients.
Salary: Commensurate with experience
