About the Role
SunCrypto is seeking an experienced and qualified Chartered Accountant to lead the Finance, Accounting, Taxation, Audit, Treasury, and Regulatory Reporting functions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring financial accuracy, statutory compliance, strong internal controls, and regulatory readiness in a fast-growing fintech and virtual digital asset (VDA) ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Audit
Oversee end-to-end accounting and financial reporting under Ind AS.
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closures.
Lead statutory, internal, and tax audits.
Establish and strengthen internal financial controls and compliance processes.
Coordinate with auditors, consultants, and regulatory authorities.
Manage GST returns, audits, assessments, and notices.
Coordinate advance tax calculations and annual tax planning activities.
Regulatory & Government Liaison
Represent the organization before Income Tax, GST, MCA, FIU-IND, banking partners, and other regulatory bodies.
Manage responses to notices, assessments, audits, and regulatory inquiries.
Support compliance and reporting requirements related to virtual digital assets.
Treasury & Banking Operations
Monitor daily cash flow and treasury activities.
Manage banking relationships and payment operations.
Ensure proper controls over fund movements and treasury management.
Leadership & Team Management
Build and lead a high-performing finance team.
Develop scalable finance processes and reporting frameworks.
Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Technology, and Business teams.
Required Qualifications
Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA).
10–15 years of post-qualification experience.
Minimum 4 years in a senior finance leadership or controllership role.
Experience in Fintech, Banking, NBFC, Brokerage, Payments, or Cryptocurrency industries preferred.
Strong knowledge of Ind AS, Direct Tax, GST, Financial Controls, and Audit Management.
Proven experience handling regulatory audits and government authorities.
Excellent analytical, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with cryptocurrency exchanges, payment aggregators, or regulated financial institutions.
Additional certifications such as CFA, CPA, CS, DISA, or Diploma in IFRS.
Experience with ERP systems, financial automation, reconciliation tools, and advanced reporting.
