Your new role

Reporting to the Manager, Project Controls, the Project Planning Manager will be responsible for developing the project master schedule, integrating stakeholder schedules, and monitoring the progress of the Windfall Project in accordance with industry’s best practices.

Your key responsibilities:

1. Planning Leadership and Schedule Governance

Develop, coordinate, and maintain the project schedule, covering engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup.
Define planning standards, methodologies, tools, and processes for the entire project and all stakeholders (EPCM, contractors, major suppliers).
2. Coordination with Internal and External Teams

Work closely with engineering, procurement, construction, logistics, and commissioning teams to ensure schedule integration and consistency.
Collect and validate planning data from contractors, subcontractors, and consultants.
Ensure alignment of EPCM schedules and subprojects with the overall project strategy.
3. Analysis, Performance Monitoring, and Schedule Control

Perform advanced analyses (critical path, potential delays, crossdiscipline impacts, whatif scenarios).
Produce periodic progress reports (Scurves, Earned Value, variance analysis, performance indicators).
Identify schedulerelated risks, propose mitigation measures, and monitor their implementation.
4. Contribution to Strategic DecisionMaking

Present planning trends, critical issues, and recommendations to the project executive committee.
Support management in decisionmaking related to priorities, work sequencing, and resource optimization.
Analyze the impact of scope changes, operational constraints, and strategic decisions on the overall project schedule.
5. Interface Management and Multidisciplinary Integration

Ensure integration of interfaces between disciplines (engineering – procurement – construction – commissioning).
Maintain a global and proactive perspective to anticipate schedule conflicts and bottlenecks.
Track the progress of key deliverables (longlead items, critical packages, priority infrastructure).
6. Planning Tools and Systems

Administer and optimize project planning tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project, TILOS, 4D analysis tools).
Ensure the quality and integrity of data within planning systems.
Train users and promote planning best practices.
7. Continuous Improvement and Compliance

Propose and implement improvements to planning and monitoring practices.
Ensure compliance with internal, contractual, and regulatory planning standards.
Maintain documentation of processes, updates, and decisions impacting the schedule.

What you'll need to succeed

University degree in business administration, engineering, or another relevant field;
At least ten (10) years of experience in planning and project controls for largescale industrial or mining construction projects;
Bilingualism;
Proven experience in overall project planning for large construction projects;
Experience using Primavera (P6) on large construction projects;
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, etc.);
Mining experience is considered an asset.
