Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Chef at Organic Microgreens Private Limited. The Chef will be responsible for preparing organic, nutritious meals using freshly harvested microgreens, creating innovative recipes, maintaining kitchen hygiene, and collaborating with the team to develop sustainable culinary practices. The role includes crafting a variety of dishes such as salads, juices, millet-based options, and passionate vegan subscription-based meals for our café at Kanha Shanti Vanam. Additionally, the Chef will handle purchasing and bookkeeping to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
Qualifications
• Culinary Skills: Expertise in cooking techniques, flavor combinations, and meal preparation.
• Menu Planning and Recipe Development: Ability to create and refine innovative, nutritious recipes.
• Knowledge of Organic Farming Practices and Sustainable Cooking: Understanding of how to incorporate organic produce and sustainable methods into meal preparation.
• Food Safety and Sanitation Expertise: Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
• Creativity in Culinary Arts and Presentation: Ability to present food in an appealing and innovative way.
• Excellent Time Management and Organizational Skills: Ability to manage time effectively and keep the kitchen organized.
• Experience in Working with Fresh Produce: Prior experience in handling and cooking with fresh, organic ingredients.
• Strong Communication and Teamwork Abilities: Ability to communicate effectively and work well within a team.
• Certification in Culinary Arts or Related Field: Formal education in culinary arts or a related discipline.
• Purchasing and Bookkeeping: Experience in managing kitchen inventory, purchasing ingredients, and maintaining accurate financial records.
