Checkout Supervisor

We're looking for an experienced, motivated, and customer-focused Checkout Supervisor to support our front-end team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment, enjoys leading by example, and takes pride in delivering outstanding customer service. As our Checkout Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring our checkout area runs smoothly and efficiently, supporting the team, and creating a welcoming shopping experience that keeps customers coming back.
Must be available for morning & evening shifts, plus one weekend day.
Morning shifts start 06:00/07:00, evening shifts finish at 21:00.
About the role:
Supervise and coordinate daily activities at the checkout counters, ensuring efficient and accurate transactions.
Monitor cashier performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and escalations in a professional and timely manner.
Oversee cash handling procedures, including opening and closing registers, and conducting cash audits.
What we are looking for:
Previous experience in a supervisory role within a retail environment, preferably in a supermarket setting.
Excellent customer service skills with a focus on providing a positive shopping experience.
Proficient in cash handling procedures.
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of POS systems and experience with retail software is preferred.
