Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role located in Ahmedabad for a Chartered Accountant heading Audit & Direct Tax. The Head Audit & Direct Tax will lead statutory, internal, and tax audits, plan audit strategies, review working papers, and ensure compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations. The role includes managing and reviewing direct tax computations, filings, assessments, and representations before tax authorities. The individual will supervise and mentor team members, allocate assignments, and monitor deadlines and quality. Responsibilities also include interacting with clients, understanding their business and tax requirements, preparing technical notes and advisories, and supporting business development initiatives for audit and tax services.

Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong audit skills, including experience in statutory audits, internal audits, risk assessment, and review of financial statements.
• Candidates should possess expertise in direct tax, including income tax computations, tax planning, return filing, assessments, and handling tax notices and scrutiny.
• Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory compliance relevant to Indian entities.
• Candidates should possess leadership and team management skills, including the ability to guide, review, and train junior staff.
• Candidates should possess effective client-facing skills, including communication, presentation, and the ability to explain complex tax and audit matters clearly.
• Candidates should possess strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and high professional ethics.
• Qualified Chartered Accountant with relevant post-qualification experience in audit and direct tax in a CA firm or corporate environment.
• Comfort with audit and tax software, MS Excel, and other relevant digital tools; willingness to keep up to date with changing laws and standards.
