The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and informative first aid training sessions to various audiences, including adults and youth. This role requires a passion for teaching and a strong understanding of first aid principles, CPR, and emergency response techniques. The First Aid Instructor will play a crucial role in equipping participants with the skills necessary to respond effectively in emergency situations.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with established first aid training standards.
Conduct engaging training sessions on first aid techniques, CPR, and emergency response procedures.
Assess participant understanding through practical demonstrations and evaluations.
Maintain a safe and supportive learning environment for all participants.
Provide feedback and support to learners to enhance their skills and confidence in first aid practices.
Stay updated on the latest first aid guidelines and best practices to ensure accurate instruction.
Collaborate with other instructors and staff to improve training programs and participant outcomes.
Skills
Proficient in lesson planning to create effective educational experiences.
Strong knowledge of first aid principles, CPR techniques, and emergency response protocols.
Experience in teaching or facilitating adult education programs is highly desirable.
Previous lifeguard experience or swimming instruction is a plus.
Excellent public speaking skills with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
Strong communication skills to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
