Job description
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Project Management
o Provide visionary leadership to ensure programmatic excellence and financial integrity across projects
o Develop and update comprehensive work plans aligned with beneficiary needs, government priorities, and donor requirements
o Ensure compliance with funder policies (USAID, World Bank, ADB, etc.).
o Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, including funding agencies, Ministry of Health, and implementing partners
o Oversee project budgets, financial operations, and resource allocation
Technical Oversight & Quality Assurance
o Guide the design, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based interventions
o Ensure technical quality and sustainability of all project activities
o Lead the development of robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning frameworks
o Review and contribute to technical reports, publications, and knowledge products
Team Leadership & Mentorship
o Build, lead, and mentor high-performing teams
o Streamline team efforts to achieve rapid and sustainable results
o Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement
Business Development & Partnerships
o Identify trendsetting ideas in health, nutrition, and WASH sectors
o Cultivate and strengthen relationships with donors, partners, and key stakeholders
o Lead proposal development for complex, large-scale bids
o Collaborate with technical experts to identify new business opportunities
o Enhance brand and reputation in the health and development sector
Qualifications
• Advanced degree in Public Health, International Development, or related field
• 15+ years of experience in leadership roles within international development, with a focus
• on health programs
• Proven track record in managing large-scale USAID-funded projects
• Expert knowledge of ****** and reproductive health, family planning, and WASH
• programming
• Strong financial management and business development skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
• Willingness to travel frequently within India
