Job Title: CDP / DCDP – Chinese Cuisine
Location: Lily Hotel, Guwahati
Department: Kitchen / Culinary
Reports To: Sous Chef / Executive Chef
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare, cook, and present authentic Chinese dishes in line with restaurant standards.
• Oversee the assigned section of the kitchen and ensure timely food preparation.
• Support Sous Chef and Executive Chef in menu planning and recipe development.
• Maintain cleanliness and ensure food safety as per HACCP and hotel guidelines.
• Train and supervise junior chefs (commis) in the Chinese kitchen section.
• Monitor portion and waste control to maintain food cost targets.
• Ensure all ingredients and mise en place are ready before service.
• Coordinate with service staff for smooth kitchen operations.
• Maintain equipment and kitchen tools in excellent working condition.
Qualifications Requirements:
• Culinary Degree/Diploma from a recognized institute is mandatory.
• Schooling from an English Medium or Convent School is required for effective communication and discipline.
• Experience:
• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a reputed hotel or restaurant specializing in Chinese cuisine. Locals proffered
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of traditional and modern Chinese cooking techniques.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills in English and Hindi.
• Team player with leadership qualities.
• Physical Appearance:
• Height must be proportionate to weight, maintaining a presentable and professional appearance.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
