CCTV Operator
Job Description
Ever wondered who keeps New Zealand’s underground infrastructure running smoothly? That’s us.
At Intergroup, we’re the behind-the-scenes legends of infrastructure and industrial services — delivering across waste management, industrial services, coatings, and water infrastructure. You might have seen us around your neighbourhood.
What's the role?
As our next CCTV Operator, you’ll be on the front line of underground investigation — operating advanced CCTV pipeline inspection equipment to assess, diagnose, and support maintenance of water infrastructure assets for councils and private clients.
You’ll be the eyes below ground, helping prevent issues before they become problems. Think of it as detective work… just with more cables and fewer trench coats.
What are we looking for?
We’re looking for someone who knows their way around pipeline inspection gear and isn’t afraid to get hands-on.
You’ll need:
A current driver’s licence — and the confidence to reverse vehicles in tight spots like a pro
Some experience operating CCTV pipeline inspection equipment (e.g., push rod camera systems, mainline crawler units, tractor cameras, and lateral launch systems)
Solid understanding of day-to-day job planning to meet contract requirements
Working knowledge of standard methods, materials, tools, and procedures used in underground video inspections
Experience with safety management systems, including Hazard Analysis and risk assessment
The ability to assign work, train others, and uphold strong work standards
Flexibility to work after hours when required — because infrastructure doesn’t always stick to business hours
If you’re reliable, skilled, safety-focused, and keen to be part of a company that’s building something great — we want to hear from you.
