Job Overview:
A Catering Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and driving the sales of catering services within a company, typically within the hospitality, hotel, or event industries. This role involves working closely with clients to plan, coordinate, and execute events, ensuring that all catering needs are met efficiently
Key Responsibilities:
Generate new business leads and convert inquiries into confirmed bookings.
Maintain and build relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business.
Meet sales targets and contribute to the growth of the business.
Work closely with clients to understand their event needs, preferences, and budget.
Provide expert guidance on menu options, event logistics, and service styles.
Ensure excellent communication between the client and internal teams.
Coordinate the details of the event, including catering menus, service style (buffet, plated, etc.), staffing, and equipment needs.
Liaise with the kitchen and service staff to ensure all aspects of the catering are executed perfectly.
Draft, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, ensuring all terms are clear and agreed upon.
Handle all logistics related to pricing, payments, and invoicing.
Assist in developing marketing strategies to promote catering services.
Attend networking events or trade shows to increase visibility and build relationships.
Work with internal departments, such as kitchen staff, event coordinators, and management, to ensure smooth event execution.
Supervise staff during events to ensure a high level of service.
