Casual Property Maintenance - Cleaning and Laundry Staff
Location: Auckland City Centre (mostly Mt. Wellington, Panmure, Glen Innes, Onehunga, and Parnell)
About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Casual Property Maintenance - Cleaning and Laundry Staff to join our team. This role involves cleaning both domestic and commercial sites while maintaining high standards of hygiene and professionalism that involves cleaning and housekeeping with laundry services.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general cleaning tasks including:
Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, dusting, and wiping surfaces
Cleaning restrooms, kitchens, offices, and common areas
Emptying rubbish bins and keeping premises tidy
Clean and maintain domestic and commercial sites
Safe chemical handling and usage according to guidelines
Replenish toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, and other consumables
Ensure cleaning equipment is properly used, cleaned, and stored
Work flexible hours, including after-hours or early mornings when required
Follow health and safety protocols, including basic first aid awareness
Communicate clearly and professionally in English
Report any damages, broken items, or safety hazards found on the premises promptly and accurately
Be agile, observant, and proactive when identifying maintenance or safety issues
Maintain reliability, punctuality, and commitment to the job
Sort laundry by colour, fabric type, and washing requirements.
Wash, dry, fold, and iron laundry according to company standards. Inspect items for stains or damage and treat stains where possible.
Ensure all laundry is clean, neatly folded, and ready for delivery or storage.
Operate and maintain washing machines, dryers, and ironing equipment safely.
Keep the laundry area clean, organised, and hygienic.
Monitor and report low stock of detergents and other laundry supplies.
Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
Handle customers' items with care and maintain confidentiality.
Assist with packing, labelling, and preparing orders for collection or delivery.
Perform other laundry-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements: Clean and valid New Zealand driver’s licence Must be legally allowed to work in New Zealand (Work Visa, Resident Visa, or NZ Citizenship) Previous experience in domestic or commercial cleaning is an advantage Knowledge in chemical safety and first aid is preferred Able to work independently and after hours when required Good communication skills in English Responsible, trustworthy, and able to commit long-term How to Apply: Please submit your CV and a short cover letter via Indeed or email to [email protected] Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
