Deakin Dental Care is looking for a Casual Dental Assistant to join our team!

We are a 4-chair dental practice that was established in 2022, the practice is growing and we are looking for our next Dental Assistant to join our small, friendly and welcoming team.

About the role:

Casual role with hours ranging from 16-38 hours per week
Some Saturday work may be required but is rotated amongst all assistants
Assisting the Dentist and Oral Health Therapist during treatment
Sterilisation
Cleaning
Supporting reception when required
Free parking close to the practice or walking distance from the bus stop
About you:

Ideally, some Dental Assistance experience - we are happy to train the right person, but having knowledge of the basics would be a plus!
Willing to learn and take on constructive criticism
Be able to work in and support a team
Be confident to assist and support dentists during treatment
Have some reception/customer service skills - not necessarily imperative as we do have a reception team
Have a flexible schedule, we do send out rosters weekly, but the ability to cover absences would be preferred
Want to do more - we are a general dental practice but do treatment under IV sedation and GA at a local hospital
Be comfortable with surgical procedures
The role is available immediately with interviews happening now.
