Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Cashier/Stock Person to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing sales transactions, and assisting with stock organization. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong communication skills, and have a passion for creating a positive shopping experience for customers.
Bilingual abilities and experience in retail sales or merchandising are a plus, as is familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills.
Responsibilities
• Operate POS systems efficiently to process sales transactions accurately and quickly
• Handle cash, credit, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, offering product recommendations, and upselling when appropriate
• Maintain organized stock areas by restocking shelves, organizing displays, and managing inventory levels
• Conduct product demos and assist customers in understanding product features, especially in technology or electronics sections
• Ensure the sales floor is clean, organized, and inviting for shoppers
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth store operations
• Manage phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
• Support merchandising efforts by setting up displays and promotional materials
Experience
• Prior experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service is preferred but not required; training will be provided
• Bilingual skills (English and another language) are highly desirable to serve a diverse customer base
• Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and basic math skills are advantageous
• Experience in product demos or technical sales can be beneficial for roles involving electronics or specialized merchandise
• Strong organizational skills, time management abilities, and excellent communication skills are essential for success in this role
Pay: $15.00-$22.11 per hour
