Duties
Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and payments for fuel and retail merchandise
Assist customers with product demos and answer questions about store offerings and promotions
Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with precision and integrity
Maintain clean and organized checkout areas, ensuring products are well-stocked and merchandising standards are met
Upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
Provide friendly phone etiquette when taking inquiries or assisting customers remotely
Support stocking efforts by replenishing shelves, organizing displays, and managing inventory levels efficiently
Experience
Previous cashiering experience in a retail or grocery store environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members in a bilingual setting is a plus
Supervising experience or leadership roles in retail are advantageous for those interested in growth opportunities
Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, and product placement enhances performance in this role
Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, including patience, active listening, and problem-solving abilities
